Margaret Williams was the Agent who sold a home in Walden to my husband (Keith) before I even knew Keith. When my Mom died earlier this year and left her home to me (the only remaining child alive), I did not have the heart to sell my mother's home. After 8 months of paying the heat, the taxes, water bills, etc, I decided that we needed to put the home on the market. My parents owned that home for 63 or 64 years and I grew up there (6 Ona Ln, New Windsor) I didn't want to deal w/ real estate agents, as I was (still am) grieving my mother who passed just 8 months ago. My husband remembered Margaret - her understanding kind gentle mannerisms. He thought that Margaret would be the perfect fit for me. I called her, she patiently listened to my concerns (I did NOT want a 'for sale' sign on the lawn, etc) Margaret said that she would do a MLS call me before anyone showed my Mom's home. Within days, there was a feeding frenzy on the home and we had multiple offers. Margaret respectfully presented them to me and we discussed the options. I chose to accept the family (not the flipper) We just closed on the home this past week. (There was an issue w/ the Town of New Windsor and I needed to get a permit for my Mom's deck, etc. Margaret 'held my hand' thru the entire process. Honestly, it was harder to sell Mommy's home than it was to get thru her funeral and I couldn't have done it w/o Margaret. In the end, I told her that she CANNOT retire until my husband retires (in 10 years) so that she can sell our home when we move away. Well done, Margaret Williams, well done.
